Well, I don't know how seriously to take this - it's a bit of an AU of an AU, a fanfic of a fanfic, a bit of playing around. Don't know how wedded to it I really am...but then again, at the end of P&T, John Dee drops his little bombshell that he knew. The logical assumption is that his source was Madimi, who had her own reasons for gossipping so (and his own observations of course).
