Vulgarweed is WILDLY OOC in this fic!

Excuse me? She's up before noon on a weekend voluntarily?!? Excited about a sports event? Do you pay attention to what she's like in canon AT ALL? Are we looking at the same source material here?

Ahem. It is ON, Aussies, it is ON. May the best country with the Southern Cross on its flag win.

In other Brazil news, the BBC reports 2.4 million people in the streets of Sao Paulo, for the largest Pride Parade in the world.

ETA: Well THERE YA HAVE IT. Be proud, though, Australia, you didn't make it easy.

I think the icon works for the match this time *g*

Yeah, well. Ditto.

*jumps up and down madly*

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, it does.

*bites nails*

[identity profile] andrea--88.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm torn
I want both teams to win :o)

[identity profile] andrea--88.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
yuppers
I guess a tie wouldn't be bad...

[identity profile] elentari-valie.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It would for us! next game would be a matter of life and death!

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
*twitches*

[identity profile] andrea--88.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Would it? If Brazil and Australia tie they have 4 points the other two teams have 1 so even if they(Brazil/Aus) lose the next match it goes to goals and Brazil Australia would still advance

[identity profile] elentari-valie.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm.. true.

But we're making a difficult campaign, out of rythm and stuff. Morale'd be rock bottom. And for that we'd need to win by a good advantae later. Even though the Japanese have disappointed me greatly, I'd very much rather not suffer that.

BUT. Bra 2 - Aus 0. Life's good.

[identity profile] andrea--88.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
*pouts*
I wanted a tie
now Australia has to win against Croatia
Won't even go into my group E worries

[identity profile] elentari-valie.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry all that much with Croatia. Australia'd have a chance even with a tie with them.In any case, hell of a game.

[identity profile] andrea--88.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Thats true
and it was a good game
Brazil will be tough to beat

[identity profile] acusa-dora.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
My husband's going to Sao Paulo tonight(he'll get there in the morning) I'm so jealous!

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! Has he been there before?

[identity profile] acusa-dora.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
No, he hasn't, and unfortunately, he has to work while he's there . . .

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's too bad. But at least he gets to be there. (I've only ever been in the airport at Sao Paulo - most of my time there's been in Salvador.)

[identity profile] corporal-katz.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Go Aussies!! :D

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Good game! The Aussies are tough. :D

[identity profile] corporal-katz.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Us Aussies are mad for our sport... Of any kind.

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It shows. What time is it there anyway?

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's not too bad actually. :)

[identity profile] waxbean.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Mrbean and I got up early (8:30 am west coast!) and watched the game, too!

I was thinking of you and your mom... hope she didn't get too bent out of shape when they pulled Ronaldo!

xoxoxoxoMary

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooo, that is early. But the final in 2002 was played in Asia so...it started at 5:30 AM or thereabouts (I didn't get up - I stayed up, I find that much easier to do.)

She, like me, was bent out of shape that they hadn't pulled him an hour sooner! XD

[identity profile] divinetailor.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
your icon actually looks like someone in Brazil-flag shorts bending over for a nice spankie. ;)

i was interviewing someone in WP and got done just as the game ended. i didn't realize what was going on until i saw a bunch of people sitting in Cafe Absinthe or whatever the hell it is now, all wearing team colors and shouting jubilantly into cellphones.

i love Chicago.

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Well, Brazil dishes out so many spankings, who's saying we can't enjoy getting 'em too? ;)

I love Chicago too. :D

Hi. I'm very pleased to find world-cup followers, particularly of the kind that support Brazil's team, on LJ.

I'm Brazilian. :)

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello! More of that's always welcome here. There are quite a few around (as you can see, [livejournal.com profile] elentari_valie is quite passionate as well. :)

I'm American really; well, half--my mother is Brazilian (Salvador, BA) and has spread the football fever to the whole family.
