Sonic Youth tonight, man, that is all.

All things considered, it says a hell of a lot that I've had the same favorite band for 17 years at my age, and they're still thrilling me.

(Really, think about it. Think about what it would be like to meet your spouse in your late teens/early 20s and still, 20+ years later, to be making music too radical for radio although you're raising a child together and bought a building back when that real estate was 'dangerous' and is now desirable enough to be making you richer by the day. Think about what it would be like to be the Rolling Stones for a generation too jaded to believe in such things, but still able to identify with you.)

How much more of a 'role model' could anybody want than that? But I don't honestly believe in that -- the important thing is that they still sound SO FUCKING GOOD.
