historical; Agnes Nutter/Thou-Shalt-Not-Commit-Adultery Pulsifer, Aziraphale/Crowley, PG-13

Summary: "For all that history will remember [the great fire of London] might as well also burn the books Agnes will not have written." I like to think she was making choices all the time, about the future as well as the present, even if she didn't understand them fully. This one was difficult, but pivotal.

Author's Note: I wanted to see if I could go off my beaten track, if anyone would still know it was me if I didn't tell them. Apparently, no one did. I have mixed feelings about this.

There were too many participants this year to guess any untypical ones, I think. Too many people whose style we don't know at all. ... Well, at least I felt too overwhelmed to try.

Speaking of adultery ...

I wore my "scarlet letter" Antioch sweatshirt yesterday. I think it's the funniest joke, but remarkably few people get it.

You know, I read the story on GO Exchange a few weeks ago. I remember thinking that the pairings looked like something you would tackle, and of course historical anything is right up your alley. It is very different from most of your stuff, though, and since I wasn't actively guessing authors at the time, I forgot about it. Seeing the link here made me do a double-take. Off your beaten track, undoubtedly, but I still really enjoyed it.
