Now that's superb! I like the characterization of Grandfather here, his mingled kindliness and utter lycanthropic ruthlessness (without any evil cackling). And the tone of the ending is excellent -- no hatred and yet no regret.

I suppose the people in HP should be grateful that the werewolves of their world are never likely to form packs. ;-)
