still tryin' to get back up on that pony!

Might head out in a bit to a low-key Super Bowl party for people who (largely) don't give a shit about the Super Bowl. With home-cooked tamales.

I spent a lot of the day watching the first season of the current Battlestar Galactica on DVD because M has been going on for weeks about how addicted she is. She wasn't lying about its awesome, that's for sure!

There's a Feedback meme for fic writers. I gave in, I could use it.

Speaking of fic and feedback, if you like Minerva/Severus at all, or even think you might be open to being persuaded to like it by an excellent story, please read and love on this: Things We Lost (and Found) in the War, by [livejournal.com profile] xylodemon. (NC-17, definitely not PWP). Just gorgeous.

Wow, for homemade tamales even I might endure the Super Bowl. Maybe. *g* Have fun if you go!

I did go, and it was well worth it, for the company and the tamales. :D

YES! Someone who's getting into Battlestar Galactica at the same time as me. I feel ridiculously late to the party, but goddamn is it great! That first episode was so incredibly suspenseful and the cast is so very hot. *ahem* I mean, the contemporary political issues involved are interestingly explored. Yes.

Oh, and um...hello! I'm a lurker who used to read lots of your GO stories under a different name. So I decided to friend you on my fandom journal since that other one was getting a bit ridiculous re: f-list length. Hope you don't mind that I burst in here with my newbie BSG Squee of delight and fellowship.

Isn't it AMAZING?! Better late than never!

My sentiments exactly. :)

Awww, I don't mind ONE BIT, thanks for de-lurking.

Oooh, nice! It amazed me that Albus didn't trust Minerva in canon. Glad to see that Severus at least trusts her here.

I know! That bothered me too. I like seeing those relationships written a little differently.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to be amongst people who don't give a shit about the Super Bowl right now. I'm in New England, which is currently the place to be if you happen to love seeing grown men cry.

Oh, my sympathies. I think the only way I can relate to that is remembering the FIFA World Cup. *cringes*

Wow, home made tamales!! *drools*

You're in WI right now?? I've been remiss in reading LJ! Augh!

I'm really sorry to hear about your family dog, too. That's always so hard. I still miss my various cats, my horse, and my Dad. He'd be amused I put him in with the critters. :)

Hope your team won? I've got no TV, so I only heard the results on the BBC tonight. Heh.

Oh, no I'm in Chicago - I just went up to WI for the weekend a couple weeks ago.

I think my Dad would like very much to be put in with the critters. He's always gotten along better with them than with people :)

I had no dog in that fight whatsoever. I just went to a party for the company - and Christine's tamales. :9
