And now it can be told...the exciting thing!

I don't live alone anymore.

Madimi, meet my friendslist. Friendslist, meet Madimi.

Already found that space in my desk where a drawer isn't!

In the process of figuring out how to get up my bathroom shelves...

Aaannd she's reached the summit!

Already bringing down her first kill - the wild and dangerous Winter Scarf.

She came to me via the Anti-Cruelty Society. They billed her as skittish and shy but she's already almost tripped me twice with the ankle-loving thing. Oh, she purrs. She's about 2 years old.

Perhaps my nights of uninterrupted sleep are over.

Lucky kitty! Lucky you! Congrats and enjoy!

Hi Madimi, congratulations on your new home. :)

Our cat Sparkle was also described as "skittish" when we got her from a shelter for neglected animals. She's not quite tripping us with ankle-love, but she's still become much more open since we first met her.

Best of luck to the both of you!

Someone has to protect us from those rogue inanimate objects! Congratulations on your new bed partner. (Pssst! They steal covers.)

Oh, such a pretty thing -- I love torties.

I got a new pet this weekend, too -- took Trixie to the local rabbit sanctuary Saturday to compatibility-test her against some of their eligible bachelors (since they adopt out either singles or bonded pairs, and recommend spayed female + neutered male as being most likely to bond properly) and brought home a handsome white rabbit originally called Trance that I'm thinking we're going to wind up calling Marvin.

Aw, how could I miss that post? She's adorable. :) My zoo sends headbutts your way. *purr*

I love the colours of her fur! I don't think I've seen a nearly black cat with tan and gray stripes before. So lovely!

Madimi is a such a great name. It sounds so familiar, too. Where is it from?

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't she purty? Her spots and patches and stripes range from a creamy beige to a dark coppery orange. She has huge yellow eyes and sometimes when she's really happy and purring she lets the tip of her little pink tongue stick out of her mouth and has no idea. (You can see it in the desk picture)

Madimi is the name of that mischievous spirit who made Dr. John Dee's life so interesting. ;)
