Actually, I think this is exactly the sort of thing that brings out Aziraphale's cynical and wicked side, and he might even now be planning a spectacular practical joke that involves a "candid" photo and a sob story about his poor departed pet snake...

I'm thinking maybe the presumption here is that "ability to correctly grade photoshop jobs in terms of quality" and "devout pet-loving sentimentality" are not traits commonly held by the same people. (Or possibly that anyone who knows enough about photo manips to identify the problems with these is probably capable of doing their own if they feel the need, or at least can find someone else who's better at tweaking images. Not Their Target Market, IOW.)
