Lessons learned from rock festivals? I don't care how hot it is, it's still physically impossible for me to stay grumpy while Sonic Youth is playing. Even if it's not one of their best nights.

Also: strapless bras are great in theory, but there must be some art to wearing them that I have never mastered, because I've never found one that doesn't migrate towards my waist, dragging my boobs down with it and making them look saggy when they aren't, and isn't that the very opposite of what a bra is supposed to do?

Appropos of nothing, from "Old Possum's Book of IMpractical Cats": I'm in love with these guys. Little cuddly kits are great but I want a Viking lynx!

I've written three more birthday drabbles, all of a crossovery flavo[u]r.

For [livejournal.com profile] vivien529: A GO/HP drabble (Minerva thinks that angel's got a little Slytherin in him!)

For [livejournal.com profile] signifier (who I get to see in August!): J.K. Rowling via J.L. Borges - Snape and the Aleph (also owes a conceptual debt to "The Three Versions of Judas")

For [livejournal.com profile] blueeyedtigress (who I get to see tomorrow!): GO/LOTR - Aziraphale and Crowley having a cuppa with Frodo

Productive? I think so.

You may be wearing the wrong band size, or that person I used to know who said you should always buy one band size down in a strapless bra may be right.

Of course, owing to the logic of cup sizes and band sizes, that would mean you'd need to go up a cup size in them as well; I for example wear a 32C, and I'd have to buy a 30D strapless bra. Dunno.

You know, that's a really good idea. I usually can't stand bands that are too tight, but it might be necessary in this case...I usually wear a 34C, I should try a 32. Thanks! Why would you have to go up a cup size though?

I own a big lynxy cat (next best thing, a Maine Coon) and let me tell you one thing:

If your wardrobe has large quantities of black in it, you do not want a Norwegian Forest Cat with white fur on it. At all.

My originally dark-brown tabby cat has lightened with age (more golden/buff tones appearing) so this is more of a problem for me than it was when she was first acquired.

She's the greatest cat in the world, otherwise. She does like going outside - big lynxy cats aren't happy indoors, as a rule - and she's not crazy about other cats.

Yeah, as a third-floor big-city dweller, big lynxy cats are probably impractical for me just like dogs are.

Maine Coons are amazing too.

As for the black-clothing factor...yeah, there's that. "Does this come in black"? At least my carpet is light-colored. :D

[identity profile] tyellas.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Having your cat match the carpet is the next best thing.

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. And you need to change the carpet to match the cat if need be, not the other way around. :)

SO's cat Digory is dark grey and white, so you just can't win no matter what you wear.

Believe it or not, I've never been to a rock festival. I tend to like smaller concerts. But I can understand about good music making it easier not to be frustrated. Oh, and I want to say how beyond cool pancake!Snape is. It reminds me of this icon of just-ann-now's: http://userpic.livejournal.com/34030394/3930116.

[identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, agreed. I usually prefer small club shows, honestly. But if a whole bunch of bands I like are playing in the same place within ten minutes' walk of my apartment, I can't really pass it up. :)

I think the bunny pancake pic was the original, and all the others are mere riffs on a theme.

Just a random comment to let you know that that icon you're using was made by one of my good friends, [livejournal.com profile] dizmo. :D

Yaaayyyyyyy! Credit added to keywords. I don't usually swipe icons at random when I can't find a maker credit, but this one I just could.not.resist. Thank you so much!!!

Actually, I don't know what I"m talking about. The icon I used for this post isn't the one I thought I used. D'oh. What I said still applies, though. *redface*

Funny drabbles! (What would Crowley be? He doesn't seem at all slytherinish to me, except for the snake thing. A Hufflepuff perhaps? *g*)

The cats are beautiful, but as with dogs, I prefer short-haired and mixed-heritage ones. (The first for practical, the second for health reasons, because purebreeds are often very sensitive.)

I tried it once, and ended up going "...nevermind" and putting on the handy dandy seethrough plastic straps. The dress was also strapless and slipping, despite being the smallest size in the store, so I had to kind of uh safety pin it onto the bra... but you know, all worked out!

Norwegian forest cats are gorgeous. [livejournal.com profile] misscam is lucky enough to have one. He wakes her up in the morning.
