I wrote two stories this year:

New Skin for the Old Ceremony
(Aziraphale/Crowley, NC-17) for [livejournal.com profile] aten_ra
A bit of a crossover with the Dresden Files series; spoilers for Death Masks. You probably don't need to know those books to read this, though. It's mostly porn. Shapeshifter sex, xenokink, snake fetish...arguably slightly bordering on bestiality, from a certain point of view. Oral and intercrural sex. Ophidian masturbation. Title comes from an album by Leonard Cohen.

Not Always the Same Joke (Aziraphale/Crowley, OFC/OFC, PG) for [livejournal.com profile] cinaed
Two teen angels who met their Maker in the '80s (and gave themselves angelic names after Jello Biafra and Siouxsie Sioux) are sent back to Earth to re-establish contact with one of Heaven's agents and to keep an eye on kids. Inspired by the song Alleluia, by Dar Williams.

BAZMÊLO SOBÔLN

For [livejournal.com profile] quantum_witch on her birthday, 2010

Crossover: Good Omens/Supernatural
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairing: Aziraphale, other angels, Castiel, Crowley. Gen-ish; Aziraphale/Crowley definitely implied, Castiel/Dean implied if you squint
Summary: There’s a new sheriff in town, and he knows how to handle two legendary outlaws.
Author’s Notes: The title means “Midday in the West” in Enochian. Feel free to translate “Midday” as “High Noon” if you like; this story is a Western. Inspired by various art pieces by [livejournal.com profile] 22by7: this, this, and this. And these by Slinky Milinky: New Sheriff In Town
and An Ocean Where Dreams Reflect

Ficlets!

When I wrote this post a little while back about being stuck, some folks gave me the excellent advice of writing something slightly cracky and playful...

Three Maids and an Angel (Don’t Walk Into a Bar)

Three Aziraphale-centric GO Crossovers in Three Ficlets.
Rating: PG on principle.
Summary: Little girls everywhere get warned about the dangers of harmless-looking strange gentlemen, but no one ever warns such a “gentleman” about very strange girls.

The first was inspired by a prompt from [livejournal.com profile] catherinecookmn. The second by a convo with [livejournal.com profile] scholar_asriel. The third is dedicated to the memory of one of my favorite writers when I was a kid--I might not love stories so much without her.

...that has such people in it... )

Gotta go out real soon (don't wanna!), but enjoy while I'm gone!

This is why I can't be trusted with social or family gatherings on holidays. Given any free time whatsoever, my brain tends to go places like this and stay there, and next thing you know I've lost the thread of every conversation and burned the pudding.

This is for [livejournal.com profile] altariel, because of her holiday banana icon and this thread. There is no God who can help me now.

Title: Waiting For My Manwë
Fandoms: Lord of the Rings/60s rock RPF
Rating: PG-13 for near-constant drug references

Electricity comes from other planets )

Happy Christmas Eve, Festivus, Sol Invictus, etcetera!

For reference.

Lessons learned from rock festivals? I don't care how hot it is, it's still physically impossible for me to stay grumpy while Sonic Youth is playing. Even if it's not one of their best nights.

Also: strapless bras are great in theory, but there must be some art to wearing them that I have never mastered, because I've never found one that doesn't migrate towards my waist, dragging my boobs down with it and making them look saggy when they aren't, and isn't that the very opposite of what a bra is supposed to do?

Appropos of nothing, from "Old Possum's Book of IMpractical Cats": I'm in love with these guys. Little cuddly kits are great but I want a Viking lynx!

I've written three more birthday drabbles, all of a crossovery flavo[u]r.

For [livejournal.com profile] vivien529: A GO/HP drabble (Minerva thinks that angel's got a little Slytherin in him!)

For [livejournal.com profile] signifier (who I get to see in August!): J.K. Rowling via J.L. Borges - Snape and the Aleph (also owes a conceptual debt to "The Three Versions of Judas")

For [livejournal.com profile] blueeyedtigress (who I get to see tomorrow!): GO/LOTR - Aziraphale and Crowley having a cuppa with Frodo

Productive? I think so.

...and I kinda feel it too, because that's how tired I am. I'm waayyy behind on the drabbling, but that's because of the last 48 hours, I've been at home and awake for about maybe 5 of them. Yes, my friends have been feasting and feting (and other f'things) me pretty splendidly, including an 8-hour marathon of a BBQ in a beautiful yard in Humboldt Park yesterday. I woke up at 2 PM today with a huge grin on my face, feeling loved.

And someone anonymously bought me two months of paid LJ time! *squee* Thank you thank you thank you!

So here's the first five b-day drabbles, anyway. I WILL do them all if it takes me to next b-day. (And I'm doing them in the order the ideas hit me, not the order received, sorry!)

For [livejournal.com profile] musesfool: GO - Something with the Them and a birthday party

For [livejournal.com profile] kkpixie: TDS - happy, fuzzy Stewart/Colbert

For [livejournal.com profile] celandineb: GO - Aziraphale/Crowley, bananas

For [livejournal.com profile] teh_jenna: HP/US Politics - something involving Snape and George Bush

For [livejournal.com profile] use_theforce_em: TDS/LOTR - members of the Fellowship on the Daily Show

OK, more to come in days to come - enjoy!

That my brain is cracking. And rebelling. Little bits of unproductivity keep sneaking out through the work, yay.

This was written for the [livejournal.com profile] go100 "Help" challenge. I'll post it there as soon as I can figure out how to do the spoiler warnings right.

See, one of my all-time favorite movies has a remake imminent that I am not looking forward to...

The Consultant
Words: 100
Rating: PG for suggestion of pretty icky violence
Characters: Crowley and Aziraphale
Summary: It's a crossover. And no, it didn't have to happen this way...

It's a human-sacrifice murder mystery, with martyrdom and apples )

In other news, that Spike Lee documentary on Katrina that's starting tonight on HBO looks like it's going to be really excellent and really hard to watch. Will have to get someone to tape the rest of it for me tomorrow.

I'm pretty overwhelmed by the response "Breathless Mouths May Summon" has gotten; only a few people know this, but as of last week I was all a-wibble with anxiety about it not being good enough. (I only do this with things that really, really matter to me)...especially with a collaborator involved; being worthy of her work is a new level of responsibility. We seem to have made a lot of people happy.

If you're wondering why it was posted only to [livejournal.com profile] lower_tadfield and not here, it's because the person who physically does the posting (me, in this case) gets all the email notifications, and q_w shouldn't have to keep checking both here AND there to see what folks were saying. Best to keep it all centralized.

Now, just because that story took up my whole psyche, it doesn't mean that's all I've been doing.

Remember that crackfic meme that was going around a couple weeks ago, where you take characters whose pictures appear in your icons and alphabetize them to generate pairings? I didn't do it for my own icons, but I did leave a couple drive-by crackfics in other people's comments.

For [livejournal.com profile] violet_quill I actually sort of used TWO of her pairings. The first is a het pairing, of a Real Person and a Toon. The second is....well, I'm just glad I don't actually believe in Hell.

PG, I think. Be warned - I did not spend more than half an hour on either of these.

She was a tall dame. I am not a tall man. )

The second was for [livejournal.com profile] xylodemon, who wound up with Crowley/Dementor. Well, this is more a story about Crowley and a Dementor. Just a little bit of virgule, ew. This one I think owes a spiritual debt to [livejournal.com profile] hjbender's hilarious "Revenge of the Houseplants" and I know it owes a very concrete material one to [livejournal.com profile] mamushi's genius illustrated treatise on Dementor reproduction, from which I used a premise. Also PG-ish.

He couldn't even say why. He just didn't like it. )

We all are She's still waiting for that Eminem/Gandalf, by the way.

[livejournal.com profile] tea_and_snark is BRAVE. She's thrown her LJ open to the Gaimanites for the Neil Gaiman Fanfiction Open. Started out as an exercise to get herself writing, but she's thrown it open to all participants. Leave a story request, write a story for someone else's request, or just read. Pan-Gaiman.

I'm hoping someone will write my request, a moment of some sort between Dream and Adam Young. Not necessarily slash, aiieee!! (Words: anticipation, pilgrimage, tradewinds. Object: bicycle) To bolster my karma, I wrote a wee tale for [livejournal.com profile] bohemianrose's request (Death and Dream; Crowley/Aziraphale. Words: night, soft, wit. Object: a rose). Mind you, those two canons are harder to reconcile than you might think. I keep tripping over boundary skirmishes between Death and DEATH. I just ignored that issue completely for this, though.

I'm sticking it here too so I don't lose track of it but please, do go see and join the fun over there.

No title.
Sandman and Good Omens
All four requested characters are there being cute. The cute Antichrist demanded a cute cameo as well.
PG, I suppose. Cute slash.
Cosmically fluffy.

Please let me do something nice for you for a change )
