Lessons learned from rock festivals? I don't care how hot it is, it's still physically impossible for me to stay grumpy while Sonic Youth is playing. Even if it's not one of their best nights.

Also: strapless bras are great in theory, but there must be some art to wearing them that I have never mastered, because I've never found one that doesn't migrate towards my waist, dragging my boobs down with it and making them look saggy when they aren't, and isn't that the very opposite of what a bra is supposed to do?

Appropos of nothing, from "Old Possum's Book of IMpractical Cats": I'm in love with these guys. Little cuddly kits are great but I want a Viking lynx!

I own a big lynxy cat (next best thing, a Maine Coon) and let me tell you one thing:

If your wardrobe has large quantities of black in it, you do not want a Norwegian Forest Cat with white fur on it. At all.

My originally dark-brown tabby cat has lightened with age (more golden/buff tones appearing) so this is more of a problem for me than it was when she was first acquired.

She's the greatest cat in the world, otherwise. She does like going outside - big lynxy cats aren't happy indoors, as a rule - and she's not crazy about other cats.

Yeah, as a third-floor big-city dweller, big lynxy cats are probably impractical for me just like dogs are.

Maine Coons are amazing too.

As for the black-clothing factor...yeah, there's that. "Does this come in black"? At least my carpet is light-colored. :D

Yup. And you need to change the carpet to match the cat if need be, not the other way around. :)

SO's cat Digory is dark grey and white, so you just can't win no matter what you wear.
