And cold. Really goddamn cold, with snow flurries in the air. But I love that clear, crisp quality, and the colors of the clouds when Barad-dur and Minas Morgul have their holiday lights up. Although that move to NYC is a permanent pipe dream still, I'll never regret the ten years and counting I've spent here.

Anyway, today's theme is humor fics.

In the Harry Potter world: This is a genius antidote to all the saccharine wedding-porn that tends to infest romance fics. (You know the ones - one paragraph at least per gown and there are dozens of gowns, all that before you get to the rituals and vows that, if recited/performed in real life instead of on paper, would take weeks.) You don't even have to be familiar with Juliane's demented Anti-Mary-Sue Viviane Chance to piss yourselves giggling over this. Deserves a rec for the title alone:

To Hell in a Handfasting

Meanwhile in Middle-Earth, I've been told that a certain past indiscretion of mine is the squickiest and most demented parody of random PWP slash crossovers. NOT true. This,, by Random Dent, is the clear winner. The dialogue is everything I hoped it would be.
