Mary Hansen, 1966-2002.

She was a member of Stereolab since 1991. She was hit by a car (or a truck, reports vary) while riding her bicycle in London Monday; the news went public today.

Aside from liking the band and respecting their principles, my community 'round here includes people who knew her well and worked with her; there are ripples of grief all over the world. They all said she was wonderful even behind her back and while she was alive, so you know it's true.
