A Circadian-Rhythm-Challenged Rant.
Dec. 4th, 2007 03:58 pmThis turning-into-a-pumpkin around 11 PM thing is seriously cramping my style. G remarked on it, what a creature of the night I used to be.
The problem is, I still AM. After six months of this at-work-at-nine shit, it isn't getting any easier, more natural, or more pleasant. And every night, there's an argument between "Mom me" and "little kid" me over bedtime.
We had a totally boring meeting today on a new procedure, and I nearly fell asleep. ME. I never sleep once I'm up. Even when I try to lie down for a nap, I usually utterly fail at it (unless I have a fever above 100 or have just flown back from Malaysia that day or some other dramatic circumstance). I just wound up sort of dozing with my eyes open like a snake, so I don't think anyone noticed.
Gyah! How do "normal" people do it?
On the up side, at least morning is always the shittiest part of the day and it's all uphill from there.
