vulgarweedGuess whose NEW computer fritzed out last night? There I was, typing away in Word when the screen started to spazz out and finally freeze. Numerous restarts later, my document was corrupted and, eventually, the screen wouldn't light up at all. (M, who also has a G3 iBook, says this is not uncommon. Last time it happened to her, she didn't lose any data but she did have to ship it off for fixage.)
Man, good thing I had time to email the updated version of my WIP to myself, so I could still do the luxurious evening of writing I'd promised myself.
Even BETTER thing I had still hung on to my old one. I just have to laugh. My luck is so fucking bad (in such constantly annoying trivial ways) that it's comical. I am Wile E. Coyote, Supragenius.
At least Acme, aka Tom at MacAttic, promised to fix it for free if I had problems. Gonna try to cajole a free AirPort card out of him too.
But Happy Mabon, everyone, nonetheless.
