The Guardian article has this interesting tidbit: "The Methodist church in Britain yesterday became the first big Christian denomination to offer the prospect of blessings services for same-sex couples."
Oh boy. I'll put the popcorn on. Schism, church, schism! (Bush is a Methodist, by the way. There's a lot of variance on issues within that denomination. When I was a Christian for about 10 minutes in the 80s, I was a Methodist too--it wasn't the only one I tried out and visited, but it was the church in walking distance of my house.)
