Thanks, Chicago. Putting up holiday lights (well, arguable - they're blue. I like blue) on State St before Halloween? Way to stress me out.

Last year when I did
yuletide I felt compelled to offer a few fandoms that are not, to my mind, all that obscure, and wound up writing in one of them. (RPF: 20-21st century politics). I was fine with that and I was pleased with the story I wound up writing and my recipient liked it too, so that was all good.
But I think I really want to be stringent this year about only offering and requesting the true niche-market oddball mostly-book fandoms that are closest to my heart. (e.g., Someone ELSE nominated Manly Wade Wellman's John the Balladeer stories? SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!) Maybe a couple of RPF fandoms that have nothing to do with currently-popular actors or musicians. Maybe a comic or two. Hellblazer and Lucifer are about the biggest fandoms I'll deign to acknowledge, I think. I hope this doesn't make me too hard to match...
