Well, here's another birthday.
It's not a big milestone one, it doesn't end in a 5 or 0. Just one more trip around the sun, and it hasn't been a bad one.
The biggest and best news is my present from my parents - a newer second-hand MacBook (a 2011 model), which means I can honorably retire the 2006-ish one I was using before - which had been a gift from dear friends when I was in dire need. It did a great job and was there for me when I needed it for four whole years. Still runs fine, but it just can't keep up with the modern Web, and Google Docs had become so slow and unbearable that it was actually contributing to writer's block a little bit. The new machine is light and fast and will make a huge difference.
Working on some fics right now, in fact. Probably won't finish them in time to give "birthday mathoms" today, but watch this space!
