Bad luck backfired in my favor!

I figured out how I managed to have enough leftover cash to snap up that computer deal.
Being SKANK-ASS SICK meant that I didn't go out (not even the CTA got my money), had no social life, smoked 1/4 as much as normal, and didn't eat solid food at all.
Therefore I saved a lot of money. Yet I suspect that if I post this as a helpful hint at one of those thrifty-living sites, it wouldn't go over well.
But now I know what to do when I need to save up for something else. Forget to wash my hands and pay someone a couple bucks to cough on me.

Date: 2007-09-06 12:36 am (UTC)Having my hubby gone to Chicago for weeks on end is also helpful in a perverse way--we use much less energy and have lower bills (and a cleaner house) when he's not here. :p
