vulgarweedOh gods, you guys, I've been so depressed the past week. Money trouble, Seasonal Affective Disorder, PMS, garden-variety loneliness and some VERY badly-timed writer's block have really made me feel like complete shit on a used popsicle stick. I'm only able to post about it now because I seem to be in the process of crawling out. Bear with me.
I think it helps that I put up a Yule tree. And I splurged on it a little. Heathen nature symbolism with happy childhood memories and pretty lights FOR THE MOTHERFUCKIN' WIN. Yeah, the holidays are making me sad this year but I'm a lot more miserable without one.
Madimi's a little light too, sort of. I was kind of afraid when I put the tree up that I was really just building the biggest, sparkliest, messiest, breakiest cat toy ever. But aside from a few lower-branch casualties last night, she's mostly ignoring it.
