The Middle Distance

ooooo, thank you so much! Bazy is from the Pittsburgh area, and I'm from SW VA (my dad was a ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway). WV has the most dramatic history and landscape. I've spent a fair amount of time in WV, dated a guy there for a while.

I pretty much grew up in the woods in the mountains, so writing it comes easy (and I miss it often; I live in Chicago now). It's been such a fun challenge to move these very urban characters out to the sticks and see how they fit there.
