In other news, a fic of mine made GAFF!!

Finally! I was starting to feel like the most obscure NNF (No-Name Fan) ever.

It is, of course, an intentional crackfic--and a smutty one at that-- and it is three years old (but then I wouldn't have put it up at Skyehawke recently if I were nearly as ashamed of it as I should be), but hey! The biggest ego-stroke was the poster who said it was actually well-written and in-character, and that made it worse.

Heh.

Now, stories of mine have been mentioned in their "The Antidote" section twice that I know of, but that's just not the same. (And what amuses me about that is that the two stories were "The Ring and the Crown" and "Wrong Turn at Yesod." Not only can I not think of two pieces of anything I've ever written more different from each other, I can't conceive of how two pieces could be more different. I guess only if one of them lacked porn...)

More pseudoephedrine, please!

Also, congratulations to the first person to finish her go_exchange assignment. She knows who she is, and she rocks.

Here's the thing: I lurk on that site because when it's funny, it's really funny. But there's a very small percentage of skillful sporkers, overwhelmed by a large percentage of prudish, squeamish teenagers who are, IMNSHO opinion, squicked all too easily by the slightest hint of the outré. And the self-righteousness factor is off the scale. It's always funny to see someone go off on a rant about something violating some alleged point of a very long and intricate and occasionally contradictory canon source (Tolkien and Star Wars and Star Trek pop up frequently) and then having someone else, who knows more, point out..."well, actually..."

So it's part "as Wilde says, the only thing worse than being talked about...," part "An insult from the right people is a compliment," and part "yay, audience!"


You're SICK too, oh that sucks. Talk about insult to injury. I hope you get all the pampering you deserve (which is a shitload....)

Oh dear Adam, the Pippin/Merry/Treebeard thing has left me rather squicked, yet snickering dementedly. I daresay that I'll never be able to look at a venerable old oak for some time without my mind filling with innuendo.

I must admit that I sometimes check the new releases section of GAFF in the perverse hope that somebody's reported one of my fics (am certain that the Harry/Draco MPREG caused by Crowley having an orgasm deserved it). Still, I'm just not prepared to write, say, NC17 Hastur/Ligur BDSM smut (or indeed anything Hastur/Ligur related that goes above an innuendo laden PG13) for the purpose attaining this.

Well, just because a character isn't young, attractive or even vaguely humanoid, it doesn't mean that they don't deserve to have lurid smutfic written about them. And 'to see if I could' seems like a good enough reason to do it (though given some of the things people have got me to write over the last few months I really have no room to judge anyway).

Hehehe. It's very kind of you to offer. Alas, if you post it I'll know that I've not genuinely suceeded in inciting horror/disgust/moral outrage and the whole thing will feel almost like cheating. Perhaps I just need to post some of my stranger fic to ff.net.

NC-17 Hastur/Ligur S&M smut represents a sense of ultimate squick for me (though a Dobby/Gollum sub/Dom thing would probably work equally well on that front). Of course given that I RP Ligur at neutral_omens it could indicate that I'm spending too long in the Duke's diabolic - yet somewhat limited - mind. Of course were somebody to write this fic curiosity would get the better of me and I'd would undoubtably end up reading it; alternating all the way between periods of retching and insane laughter. If one were to go all psychoanalytical one could suggest that I'm unconsciously attemtping to plant the idea in some poor suceptible writer's mind because of my repressed resentment about my own inability to resist fic dares and challenges - thus getting somebody to write something I wouldn't would be a way to reclaim a sense of powers.

Egads, I'd heard rumours, of course, but I never actually thought somebody would actually do it (though I did once read a PG13 rated Gollum/JarJar Binks fic once). Don't worry I won't ask you to look for it, I imagine finding such a thing is a once in a lifetime occurrence that one would prefer to stay that way.

Yes, I am aware that having written it probably makes me a terrible person. And yes, I do realised that it should probably earn me a lifetime in the Shame Corner. The only thing I can say in my defence was that some other girls told me to do it.

I think it would take a braver woman than me to write it though I am incredibly disturbed by the fact that my treacherous mind seems intent on coming up with the truely horrendous dialog that would go in such a scene (suspect that this is probably some kind of punishment for having written the mpreg).
