In other news, a fic of mine made GAFF!!

Finally! I was starting to feel like the most obscure NNF (No-Name Fan) ever.

It is, of course, an intentional crackfic--and a smutty one at that-- and it is three years old (but then I wouldn't have put it up at Skyehawke recently if I were nearly as ashamed of it as I should be), but hey! The biggest ego-stroke was the poster who said it was actually well-written and in-character, and that made it worse.

Heh.

Now, stories of mine have been mentioned in their "The Antidote" section twice that I know of, but that's just not the same. (And what amuses me about that is that the two stories were "The Ring and the Crown" and "Wrong Turn at Yesod." Not only can I not think of two pieces of anything I've ever written more different from each other, I can't conceive of how two pieces could be more different. I guess only if one of them lacked porn...)

More pseudoephedrine, please!

Also, congratulations to the first person to finish her go_exchange assignment. She knows who she is, and she rocks.

Treebeard's one of my favorite characters, he deserves some action! (OK, OK, I wanted to see if I could pull it off! No pun intended.)

Well, just because a character isn't young, attractive or even vaguely humanoid, it doesn't mean that they don't deserve to have lurid smutfic written about them. And 'to see if I could' seems like a good enough reason to do it (though given some of the things people have got me to write over the last few months I really have no room to judge anyway).

Would you like me to post one of your stories anonymously? :D

Hehehe. It's very kind of you to offer. Alas, if you post it I'll know that I've not genuinely suceeded in inciting horror/disgust/moral outrage and the whole thing will feel almost like cheating. Perhaps I just need to post some of my stranger fic to ff.net.

And I must say, for someone who's not prepared to write NC-17 Hastur/Ligur BDSM smut, you do bring it up an awful lot. Is it a case of "the lady doth protest too much", or are you hoping to implant the idea in some unsuspecting bunny-susceptible schmuck to watch the fun when the story bursts out of her chest a la Alien?

NC-17 Hastur/Ligur S&M smut represents a sense of ultimate squick for me (though a Dobby/Gollum sub/Dom thing would probably work equally well on that front). Of course given that I RP Ligur at neutral_omens it could indicate that I'm spending too long in the Duke's diabolic - yet somewhat limited - mind. Of course were somebody to write this fic curiosity would get the better of me and I'd would undoubtably end up reading it; alternating all the way between periods of retching and insane laughter. If one were to go all psychoanalytical one could suggest that I'm unconsciously attemtping to plant the idea in some poor suceptible writer's mind because of my repressed resentment about my own inability to resist fic dares and challenges - thus getting somebody to write something I wouldn't would be a way to reclaim a sense of powers.

Egads, I'd heard rumours, of course, but I never actually thought somebody would actually do it (though I did once read a PG13 rated Gollum/JarJar Binks fic once). Don't worry I won't ask you to look for it, I imagine finding such a thing is a once in a lifetime occurrence that one would prefer to stay that way.

Eeep. Character overspill. It worries me greatly that my Ligur would be very upset by the lack of H/L smut when compared to the profusion of C/A.
