...OK, nowhere near that bad. But I was crazy busy at work, and we're having one of those glorious Chicago springtimes - 45F and dark all day - and thank Gohod for teh internets.

Usually LJ RPGs and me don't get along, but [livejournal.com profile] hogwarts_hocus is the bad crack. It has Twin Peaks characters! Bloodthirsty murderer slash! Someone doing a brilliant job as Stephen Colbert! And of course, wank! The thing is, the character applications are usually the best part and it can get anticlimactic after that.

Is noticing that Fuchsia Groan has just become available again....*twitch*...is also noticing there are a lot of LOST characters there--all the annoying ones. *is not compiling an application in her head for her own favorite Islander, oh no, and would not use the opportunity to get wankily political, oh no, not me.

Also, link found via [livejournal.com profile] metafandom: a great post by [livejournal.com profile] kassrachel soliciting opinions on fanfic threesomes. You know I loves me some threestyle. What say you? Go tell her.

OK, head back down. There will be fun had this weekend of some sort, I threaten promise.

Thank the gohods that mine is functioning again :p I was about to go postal.

And who IS your favourite Islander? Locke? Eko? I'm so conflicted, I adore them both.

Yes, much fun. Much work and much fun. Got that email thing sorted out, btw.

I know how horrible it is to go without. It's like temporarily losing a sense.

And who IS your favourite Islander? Locke? Eko? I'm so conflicted, I adore them both.

I love both of them so much, but the biggest part of my heart and points-south belong to the stone-foxy dude who would give me opportunities for both snide commentary on the Iraq war and lots of tasteless torture/BDSM jokes. (And he can actually fix things, including computers that have suffered gunshot wounds!)

Yes, much fun. Much work and much fun. Got that email thing sorted out, btw.

Bwee!

Ahhh, Sayid... He is definitely the prettiest face on the Island. I don't think we'd have as much conversation though, I'd just shag him :p

Well yeah, but OMG! The Republican Guard! The CIA! I don't imagine I'd have much of interest to tell him, but I'd sure like to hear him tell it all.

I love Fuchsia, what a great character! Who is your favorite Islander?

She is awesome, isn't she? And there's a Steerpike there already so...

Who is your favorite Islander?

Sayid.

You would make a great Fuchsia, you could write her well
gotta love Steerpike

Sayid - Excellent character! One of the main reasons I watch lol

From: [identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com
Well, thank you - always kind of identified with her. But another part of me is thinking, "There's no Titus either...and I AM such a slashfiend..."

I really love Locke too. And Eko. And Sun. And Jin...actually what is it with the wangsty white folks on that show? I've tried to care about Jack or Kate or Sawyer or Charlie or Claire and I just *don't*, not nearly as much as I care about the people who've dealt with real disabilities or come from war zones or cultures that really put very crucial life/death pressures on people...

So yeah. Sayid wins. Because I'd like to quit smoking someday. He'd like to quit torturing someday. He beats me in the know-thyself struggle.

Yes I find the 'other' characters much more interesting
Love Jin & Sun, Locke, Eko but Sayid is my favorite :o)
They have overcome much more than Jack and the others

No Titus??? thats not right, need him. Someone needs to be a thorn in Steerpike's back, unless they get slashy lol

Also I just applied as Om. ^_^

Dr. Maturin there is brilliant too.

I don't know that fandom, so, eh.

Upon being sorted I shall have to create a Squib Tortoise. Falling out of the sky onto someones head is just the perfect attack.

Squibcitatus is...is Roman history a fandom? I think it is if you take into account that porno movie with Malcolm McDowell as Caligula ...Incitatus was the horse Caligula tried to promote to the Consulate.

Dr. Stephen Maturin is from the Patrick O'Brian books/basis for Master and Commander movie fandom.

Indeed, and deadly too.

Yup, basically.

This might be obscure to me too had I not researched the hell out of that period for the smutty A/C fic I wrote for GO Exchange back in December, in which there was an Incitatus-related bestiality joke.

The graphic is really nice - studly white stallion in a field of flowers.

Fuscia Groan??? As in Titus's sister?? Hee-hee, I thought I was one of the few survivors to have waded through all of Gormenghast! I rather liked ol'Fuscia, her and the doctor were about the only ones I didn't feel like slapping. Well, and the wild girl, was bummed when she got killed off. -_-

45 degrees and Dark? Eek! Come here, it's gorgeous - 70, sunny, blue sky, birdies singing... :)

Only distraction I can offer is more horsie-fic, and artwork on my just-done posting. Gotta run and buy a Mom's day gift.

Oh, the appreciators of Gormenghasty (Gormenghastly?) goodness. One should not operate heavy machinery after use of Mervyn Peake's prose. I LOVE it! (I think the BBC miniseries went a long way towards making it accessible...) Hm...Prunesquallor would be fun too.

I just wanted to take Dr. Prune home and look after him - after years dealing with various Groans and somehow keeping a good temper - he deserves a break or two. He should go on holiday with Dr. Who or someone. I'm sure he'd have a lovely time. Or check in at the Cafe Denial...

Yeah, after reading Gormenghast for hours, my brain would just sort of spin along in a paisley haze for awhile.

LOL. You make me wish that the man-eating plant from Little Shop of Horrors would apply as a student, just so we could see how Crowley would react.

No! I missed that exchange! Hee.

Damn. I think it was on one of the very early sortings, but I'm not sure. If I can find it, I will definitely be linking you.

'Tis here (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwarts_hocus/307735.html?thread=14731031#t14731031), in Legolas's Sorting. Also featuring Agent Cooper as a goat.

Oh, and, er... *waves sheepishly like the embarrassed fangirl she is* ...hi. Love your GO stuff.

Changed accounts.

The "you look...familiar..." things are always good for a laugh. Paul Atreides is convinced Agent Cooper is some kind of evil clone assassin, and there was a classic moment when Dr. Wilson walked into his first Divination class and the professor was...House? But...younger! And saying "What ho!"

And then there's the way Damien Thorn is getting progressively more annoyed by people making "I like the blond Antichrist better," comments. XD

From: [identity profile] vulgarweed.livejournal.com
Bwahahahahah!! That is hilarious.

Aw, poor Damien. That's what that game needs! More Antichrists! *is not tempted to apply as Nicolae Carpathia from Left Behind, no, not in the least.

I'm planning on apping as the White Witch from Narnia, soon.

Hufflepuff: Prove you are not useless.

"It lies not with me to prove myself to you. Minion! Charn, Charn the Great, Charn the Irrestistible and Unconquered, fell to dust in a moment for seeking rebellion against me; I have the secret of the Deplorable Word, and I alone in all the history of the world was strong enough to wield it, though all life perished save I alone. Mine is a high and lonely destiny."

Entire school: "Bitch, please."

Susan Sto Helit's icons are based on Tilda Swinton, so...XD And of course, as soon as anyone is even vaguely disrespectful, she'll be turning them into stone. I'll popcorn her at the end of the Sorting, of course, but man...fun will be had.

Damien gets no respect. "So you've got a lot of money and a Rottweiler. Color us impressed." And of course Adam just refuses to argue about it. Oh, well. At least Sugar likes him. Not everyone gets to date a Marilyn lookalike. Doooo it!

It also makes me slightly tempted to apply as Treebeard.

I've been really tempted to app as Poison Ivy. I think she'd unnerve him intensely by developing a slight, non-sexual crush on him. XD

*sees this post*

Why do all roads lead me back to h_h? Seriously! I try to focus on something fannish and non-h_h related, and noooo...

Anyway. *puppy dog eyes* Please to be apping? Please? I adore your fic and I know Crowley/Adam/Bertie-mun does as well. It'd make my week! Fuschia may be taken, but Steerpike was just popcorned! How can you resist Steerpike? Come on!
