Oh, and...

I've been thinking that if I could ask Gneil and/or PTerry one Good Omens-related question, it would actually have nothing to do with the theology of the changed world or a second apocalypse or the mysteries of the Horsepersons or anything related to whether or not Aziraphale and Crowley are So Doing It (tm). Those are all things for fandom to play with, which it does quite nicely.
It would be a fairly straightforward question.
Who was Adam's mother?
If there's any fic or meta on this subject anywhere, please point me!

But in all seriousness, I was thinking about this myself just a few days ago. I'm going to be struck by lightening a thousand times over for this but could Lucifer be the "mother" and the father be...*whispers* God? Ok, I'm not sure I really believe that. I agree with you that the mother is probably human, but other than that, I couldn't guess.

*watches the sky*. Nope, nothing there. Not even any clouds today. :) It might rather follow if Lucifer says that he was the "mother" in a way, as per

Date: 2006-05-27 10:02 pm (UTC)And here's Neil talking about it: http://www.thestonetable.com/articles/224,1.html
And a review of the anthology it's in:http://www.bookslut.com/fiction/2005_09_006548.php
It's actually a pretty serious story about Susan and why she fell away from Narnia...but it's that dream sequence everyone remembers! (Neil is the king of "you can get away with anything in a dream sequence!) Raspy big-cat tongue, yum.
AFAIK, no one in the GO fandom has ever written something that kinky and that blasphemous at once.

Hehe, a satanic fangirl; if that's the case then it's a good job that Crowley didn't have to deal with the maternal side of things, as he would have probably discorporated himself due to gratuitous eye rolling and embarrassment on said satanic fangirls behalf.
