And now the reason I'm using all my raven icons today: as lillithj reminds me, one of the coolest literary traditions in the world unfolded again last night in my dad's home town.

That tradition is pretty awesome. But how did the Poe Toaster get famous in the first place? Hmm. Part of the mystery!

It is an awesome tradition, isn't it? I guess the roses and cognac started to get people's curiosity up. Poe's grave is a pretty popular tourist site, so lots of people would've noticed.
