They don't seem all that contradictory to me, really. Two fire signs and an earth sign - the Leo and Sagittarius should work together fairly well, and Capricorn is grounding (and can be melancholic of course).

My Cancer and Aries conflict with each other all the time. The Aquarius acts as mediator, and often shrugs and tries to walk away from both of them. :)

I'm a Cancer too! Cancer with Capricorn moon and Aquarius as a rising sign. cancer and Aquarius bring forth the worst in each other, I'm afraid.

Not really. I only have those two planets in fire signs. Almost everything else is earth earth earth, trying to smother the fire. Figures.
