I was canvassing in Racine, WI - that's where they sent us up from Chicago. In the morning, we canvassed neighborhoods that were traditionally underrepresented in voter registrations (and as a Chicagoan, I just wanted to pinch the organizer's cheeks when he talked about "inner-city Racine." SO CUTE.) Anyway, there was a noon rally with Gov. Sebelius. She came to give the volunteers a pep rally. She's not as tall as she seems on TV, but she's prettier. She was frank in the brief Q&A - she won't totally rule out the possibility of Kansas going blue, but it would herald a landslide that most of us in the room were too young to remember.

But it was small and friendly and she made the rounds - a group of local Vietnam vets ceremonially presented her with some local cheese delicacy, she posed for pictures with a musician friend of mine who's a Welshman who just took citizenship so Obama will be his first Pres vote, etecetera.

Then in the afternoon we went to talk to "undecided voters" and that was kind of depressing--apathy upsets me even more than avid right-wing-ism, because I can't relate to it in the least.
