Yeah, for a little while, DC doesn't have all the "fun." But in our urban folklore, being held up in traffic or chased off the street for this purpose is already considered a sign of good luck.

One of my jobs is just about three blocks from the "Transition Office," so yeah, it happens. And every time it does, the street is full of fangirls waving.

I got to go to a rally in early October where me & TMHM were only about 30 ft away from Our Man himself! Which, pathetically enough, I still haven't gotten to squee over on my LJ, which just goes to show you how absurdly busy & fucked up things have been, that I've omitted something as grand (and worth bragging over) as that! But we were surrounded by squealing teenage girls. It was like Elvis all over again. It was really cute in a totally bizarre and vaguely disturbing kind of way. But hey, if that's what it takes to get 'em involved in Democracy, so be it...

The InaugurationPalooza starts here in Phabulous Philly! Can't wait to see what they've got cooked up...I haven't heard (or looked up) any details yet, but I'm so psyched!!!
